Emily Phy + Drew Sanders: Nashville Tennessee Wedding
June 14th: a day full of color, fun, love and lots of dancing!! They were married at Second Presbyterian on Belmont with a reception at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. Elizabeth James and her team kept everything running smoothly and as usual did a fantastic job!!
The happy and in love couple!

The bride's ultra cool hair and gorgeous dress.

I am a little obsessed with shoes...I think because I can't really wear high heels any longer.

The bridesmaids all wore different shoes... I love these. The Tulip Tree created all the lovely bouquets and centerpieces at the reception. I just loved the color of these peonies, the prettiest flower in the world (to me anyway)!

Another view of the Frist. I love that the current main exhibit is called "Color as Field". The reception tables were covered with black and white tablecloths and a sea of colorful flowers...dahlias, lilies, peonies, gerbera daisies and roses.

The Blue Tones kept the place rockin'!!

Some cake and sherbert.

Happy Birthday Jackson!
Happy First Birthday, Jackson!
For Jackson's 1st year photos I photographed his birthday party. Jackson had a great time...I could tell because he was exhausted at the end. He scored big!! A new Radio Flyer wagon, a ball, a chair, a book and teddy bear and a "plane ride"....

Bonnie Brockman + Trevor Cross: Franklin, Tennessee Wedding
Congratulations to Bonnie and Trevor who were married on May 31st at the Brockman's farm, Pontotoc.
As one pulled into the driveway of the farm signs reading "Winding Road, Fresh Green Grass, Musicians Play, Oh Happy Day, To Wedding Vows, That Last".

Bonnie wore this most fabulous dress...with a Spanish influence... just beautiful!

Her close friends and cousin served as her bridesmaids.

Bonnie's dad, Hank, smiling with pride!

The four leaf clover finding bridesmaid.... seriously, this woman found four in one day!!
And the inquisitive flower girl.

The band of musicians who played were rich in Nashville history... Jonell Mosser and Marcus Hummon...performing classics like "Have a Little Faith".
Beautiful flowers decorated the whole property. Becca Stevens officiated. Becca is such an inspiration. Here she is preparing for the ceremony.

Thank goodness Bonnie created these cool programs that doubled as fans...they came in real handy on what felt like the hottest day of the year!!

Leaving under a canopy of fireworks... just in time as I could hear the sound of distant thunder.

Jessie Morris and Brian Adams: Nashville Wedding
On May 24th Jessie and Brian were married at Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Nashville with a reception following at Jessie's childhood home. It was such a beautiful day full of lots of laughter and love from family and friends. Jessie wore a stunning Vera Wang gown. The flowers were designed by Mark from the Tulip Tree. Elizabeth James kept the show going...she is truly amazing!!

I love Jessie's hair. Diana Grecco from Woo Cosmetics enhanced Jessie's natural beauty. This is the hand of the calligrapher, Val Cole. Both women are true artists!

Just some of the flowers...the basement of the house was full of flowers for the reception...

The guests as Jessie and Brian step off the coach.

During the cocktail hour the guests enjoyed themselves at the front of the house listening to the piano played by Pat Patrick, they moved toward the backyard to enjoy more food and drink under some Moroccan tents.

The escort table featured four vintage photographs of the couple's parents and grandparents. How beautiful is this classic bridal portrait!!

The yard at the house is it's own garden oasis complete with a pond. Here is one of the guest that Jess hoped would be there.

Nashville Tennessee Wedding: Ashley Richter and Scott Tomichek
May, what a crazy, busy month. Not only did I photograph 5 weddings and a few portrait sessions but also attended a photography seminar, participated in our neighborhood home tour, had to say goodbye to one of my sweet kitties, John and had to deal with having my purse stolen while I was at my gym....so I am not where I want to be with editing and am slowly catching up!!
On May 17th Ashley and Scott were married at the Schermerhorm here in Nashville. When I arrived the plaza was filled with glass top tables, green pillows on the stone benches and beautiful flowers. The couple was married in the courtyard. The iron gates were draped with white fabric which created some beautiful shadows and patterns. The event was put together by Ashley's sister, Jenny, of Jenny Richter Events. Thank you Jenny for contacting me and landing me this fabulous job!!
This is one of my favorite images of this fantasic, fun and passionate couple!!

The fountain in the middle of the courtyard was filled with white peonies.

The mastermind behind the floral design was the one and only Joe Smith from Ilex...for flowers.
A detail of the bride's dress and her white peony bouquet and the ladies with their bouquets.

The ring bearer and flower girl were so funny!! And the bride looked like an angel in front of the draped iron gates.

The first kiss...very passionate!
